About me
From assistant merchandiser on a factory floor in Mymensingh to leading merchandising teams for European retailers in Dhaka, and now, into the AI era of apparel.
My mission
I started as an assistant merchandiser at Crystal Martin Apparel in 2011, chasing lab dips, preparing costings, learning what a critical path means when the production floor is right downstairs. That grounding shaped everything since: I have never quoted a price I could not trace back to yarn, or promised a delivery date without knowing what the factory can actually run.
At New Wave Group, I was one of two merchandisers who started the group’s trading business through its intercompany, Multi Sourcing Asia Ltd. We built it from a standing start to USD 35 million in annual order value, opening 15 buyer accounts, Björn Borg, SEBAGO, Volvo AB, and Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail among them.
Five years at Celio followed: I independently ran the tee, polo, sweatshirt, nightwear, pyjama, and accessory accounts, 1.5 million pieces a year, 70+ styles a season across 14 factories, 94% on-time delivery, and helped push 30% of the collection into sustainable production.
Today I lead a four-person merchandising team at LPP S.A.’s Bangladesh liaison office: about 3 million pieces a year across 35 vendors, denim for Cropp, House, and Mohito, accessories for all five LPP brands, Sinsay, Reserved, Cropp, House, and Mohito. Last season we hit 97% on-time delivery and grew Dhaka office order volume 10% against target.
Alongside the day job, I study and I write. A Post Graduate Diploma in Garment Business at IBA (University of Dhaka), the AI for Professional Success (AiPS) capacity-building program, a weekly newsletter, daily posts. The industry is changing faster than most sourcing playbooks, I would rather write the new one than be surprised by it.
Three things at once
Costing, negotiation, vendor allocation, and critical-path execution at scale, for LPP, Celio, and New Wave Group. The numbers on the Career Journey page are the proof.
Daily work with a European head office, in English, across time zones. International and remote roles are an extension of my current job, not a leap.
A weekly newsletter, daily posts, and continuous coursework make my thinking public. Read three months of my work and you know how I think before we ever talk.

Beyond the desk
Competition, teamwork, and performing under pressure aren’t just merchandising skills, they’re cricket skills. I bring the same mindset to both.
Played for the Celio Sourcing office team and took home a Man of the Match trophy. The buying-office community competes hard on the pitch, and the same instincts win negotiations.
